Professor Roy Light is a specialist licensing barrister based at St John’s Chambers, Bristol. He is recommended in legal directories as a leader in his field. His practice covers all aspects of licensing and related criminal law throughout England & Wales.
Roy writes and lectures extensively on licensing and provides training for local authorities and others. He is on the editorial board of Licensing Review, a member of the Portman Group Independent Complaints Panel and sits on the advisory group of the ESRC research study A Full House: Developing a New Socio-Legal Theory of Gambling Regulation which is due to report in 2016.
