How to conduct a contemporaneous notes interview. PACE Interview rules and procedures.
The Points to prove.
Types of Defence/ Due Diligence/ Mitigating Circumstances.
How to plan a PACE interview.
How to conduct a Taped interview in accordance with PACE.
The roles of all parties in a PACE Taped interview.
What to do in a “No Comment” Interview.
When to cease an interview.
What should be said at the end of the interview.
What to do with the PACE tapes.

10.00am - First Presentation - PACE Overview and Witness Statements Notebook Procedure
11.00am - Coffee
11.30 am - Review of Witness Statements. Second presentation investigating an offence and points to prove. Interviewing planning.
12.30pm – Lunch
1.15pm - Taped Vs Contemporaneous Notes. “Interviews by post”. Role of all parties during interview. Interview tips and techniques
2.00pm - Actual Interviews
2.45pm – Coffee
3.30pm - Actual interviews. Feedback followed by questions and close
4.15pm - Close
