DESCRIPTION:

The Training

This one day course has been designed to meet the needs of officers requiring training in this complex area of legislation.

The course is aimed at officers who licence council caravan sites and council lawyers who have a duty to regulate the licensing of caravan sites.

The course will provide 5hrs CPD. The Institute is registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority. (CPD reference:- LGLF/CPC).

Course Objectives

The course will:-

• Establish the legislation governing caravan site licensing
• Establish relevant caselaw applicable to caravan site licensing
• Establish the definition of premises requiring caravan site licensing
• Establish exemptions to licensing requirement
• Establish the crossover between planning and licensing law
• Discuss applications for caravan site licensing and the legal requirements
• Discuss the standard, individual and model conditions attached to caravan site licences
• Establishs enforcement issues and legal process governing enforcement
• Establish Licensees rights v residents rights
• Discuss practical issues relating to licensing and the new application process
• Establish planned changes in the law and implementation of the same
