The principle requirement of the post is to manage a dedicated team of Licensing Clerks and Enforcement Officers with particular regard to the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire trade, and also the administration and enforcement of the Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005, but not restricted to. Working as part of a small specialist team we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to assist with the day-to-day work of the Licensing Team at Wiltshire Council.
This will involve having responsibility for various aspects of licensing and duties will include dealing with the initial applications, the preparation of licenses and permissions, provision of advice and guidance, report writing and the inspection of licensed premises and vehicles.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of the local authority licensing functions, particularly in regard to the Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005.
