Join the modern and dynamic Joint Environmental Health Service serving the semi-rural district communities of Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.  Employed by and based in North East Derbyshire and with a ‘One Team’ culture we work flexibly across both districts.

We are looking for an individual who is a genuine team player and full of enthusiasm and determination to join our Joint Environmental Health Service in the following area:

We are seeking a Licensing Support Officer to work in our busy Licensing Team who:

  • Has an eye for detail
  • Is an excellent communicator
  • Has a customer focussed approach
  • Able to deal with challenging situations with confidence
  • Can actively prioritise workloads
  • Is competent with a range of ICT applications and databases

You will process licensing applications, deal with licensing enquiries and provide advice to customers, handle licence fee payments, and be responsible for purchasing and invoicing within the team. 

Day to day you will deal with complaints about licensed premises and licence holders, ensuring that details and communication is recorded accurately, and ensure timely responses to enquiries.

You will also be responsible for assisting the Licensing Enforcement Officers with routine enforcement activity, report and case file development, and supporting the management team to ensure the service operates effectively and efficiently.
