Licensing Support Officer (Safeguarding)

 

Grade 7, SCP 12-17, £24,496 to £26,845 per annum

 

Hybrid Working - 37 hours per week

 

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has a keen eye for detail and isn’t afraid to ask questions to help us deliver an outstanding Licensing Service in Shropshire.

Shropshire Council’s Licensing Team is responsible for managing nearly 10,000 licenses for Shropshire businesses including pubs and clubs, gambling premises, taxis, tattooists and skin piercers, animal breeders and sex shops to name a few.

Licensing Support Officer (Safeguarding)

The post is a support role based in Shrewsbury in a highly demand led environment.  The post holder will proactively engage with businesses, trade representatives, licence applicants and licence holders for the purposes of protecting the safety and welfare of the public who live, work and visit in Shropshire.

The Licensing Team supports the protection of children, young persons and adults with care and support needs, working with professionals across Children and Adult Services and with external partners.

The Business and Consumer Protection Service works directly alongside Regulatory Services and together they are key services within the Council whose vision is ‘Shropshire Living the Best Life’. Our key priorities are:-
