Senior Licensing Officer - Swale Borough Council Closing Date: 15/07/2022

POST TITLE: Senior Licensing Officer

SECTION: Community Safety Unit

SALARY: Grade 6 (£29,974 - £33,718) Full Time 37 Hours

 

We are looking for an experienced licensing professional to come and join our growing licensing team on a full time, permanent basis. If you have experience of working within a local authority licensing field, we would like to hear from you. This role will support the Community Safety Manager and Licensing Team Leader in the day-to-day management of the licensing team.

 

The successful postholder will need to have detailed knowledge of legislation in relation to Licensing, Gambling, Street Trading and Taxis as well as the ability to investigate complex licensing issues across the various licensing regimes and be able to take appropriate actions to resolve them including enforcement action as appropriate. The successful postholder will also undertake inspections with licensing officers and monitor activities arising from programmed and reactive licensing work. Within the multi-agency community safety team this role will involve working with a variety of internal teams and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills and hold excellent IT skills. In addition, the successful postholder will deputise for the Licensing Team leader in their absence and assist in policy development and the delivery of cross-service and multi-agency projects.
