A 5-tier lockdown system for Scotland Published Date: 27/10/2020

The new model is due to be confirmed today and is expected to come into force from 2 November, when temporary curbs on the hospitality trade are due to expire.

It features five tiers of measures - from "level zero" to four - to be applied in different areas of Scotland depending on the spread of the virus.

A summary of the tiers are shown below alongside the 3-tiers in England:
