Government publish resonse to consultation and revised statutory guidance re Home to School Travel and Transport

Summary of responses received and the government’s response to the consultation on the home to school travel and transport statutory guidance has been published, alongsire the revised statutory guidance on home-to-school travel.
The guidance has been made clearer, to help local authorities fulfil their school travel duties in relation to children of compulsory school age.
The new guidance includes improvements on:
- considering if a parent can be expected to accompany their child
- encouraging independence for children with disabilities
- managing children’s medical needs
