Permission to apply for judicial review granted in challenge to COVID Culture Recovery Fund Published Date: 25/11/2021

Permission to apply for judicial review has been granted in a challenge against the refusal to provide Cultural Recovery Funding as operated by the Art Council at the behest of the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture Media and Sports. In July 2020, the Secretary of State, announced a £1.57 billon Culture Recovery Fund rescue package for cultural organisations to help the cultural sector survive the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
