Tax Checks for Scotland and Northern Ireland ready for implementation in October

From 2 October 2023, applicants must complete a tax check to renew a relevant licence; licensing bodies will have to obtain confirmation that an applicant has completed a tax check before making a decision on their renewal application.
In Scotland, this will apply for a licence to:
- Drive a taxi and Private Hire Car (PHCs)
- Operate a booking office
- Carry on the business of a metal dealer on a site
- Carry on a business as an itinerant metal dealer
In Northern Ireland, this will apply for a licence to drive a taxi.
