Each region is operated by a locally elected committee and the chairman / nominated director of each region serves on the Board as a director / trustee.

PRSA Commencements and Revised Statutory Guidance issued today

The majority of the alcohol provisions in the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 have been commenced with effect from today, and the Home Office have issued revised Section 182 Guidance to accompany the changes.

IoL members can access the revised Guidance and relevant Statutory Instruments via the IoL website library.

The Home Office have produced preliminary guidance together with a set of fact sheets on the main alcohol proposals within the PRSR Act due to come into force on 25th April.
Home Office Release New Licensing Act Forms

The Home Office have circulated a set of new Licensing Act forms. They will be available on the Home Office website from 25th April 2012 when they come into effect.

Government releases new Alcohol Strategy

The Government's Alcohol Strategy: Choice, Challenge and Responsibility was unveiled today (23 March) by Home Secretary Theresa May.

Extended Hours to Celebrate the Diamond Jubilee

Premises across England and Wales, that already hold a licence, will be able to sell alcohol and put on entertainment from 11pm on Friday 1 June until 1am on Saturday 2 June 2012 and from 11pm on Saturday 2 June until 1am on Sunday 3 June 2012.
