How to Inspect Licensed Premises

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED
A one day training course looking at licensed premises inspections.
The Training is taking place in a licensed premises the training deliver will be mixture of Theory/Classroom and with Practical sessions
Subs covered include:
Types of inspection including; application to grant a licence, planned inspections in accordance with risk ratings, short inspections, long inspections, investigation inspections as a result of a complaint, during performance inspections, Joint visit - multi agency/Sledgehammer inspections, covert inspections (including Ripa Requirements)
Powers to inspect premises
How to record details of inspections, how to use premises data-bases where they exist
Personal Safety and Personal Protective Equipment
What to inspect and why: taking into account safety factors, means of escape & travel distance, how calculate safe capacity of a venue. Technical Standards, British standards
Prevention of Crime and Disorder factors, including; CCTV, Door Staff, Training Records, Proof of age schemes, Glassware, collection of glasses, staff checking un supervised areas such as toilets.
Compliance with Mandatory conditions
Prevention of nuisance factors including noise conditions - signage etc
Protection of children from harm factors; any adult activities & fruit machines etc
Powers & sanctions available for non compliance with the Licensing Act

PACE Training Day at Basingstoke
Event Date: 16/Jul/2010
A one day event essential for all officers involved in investigating offences and the use of PACE. Jim Hunter from the institute of Licensing will guide you through the rules of evidence gathering, carrying out interviews under caution and other relevant matters related to investigating offences. The day will be interactive with the opportunity to practice the interviewing skills learned using the tape recording equipment.
