Each region is operated by a locally elected committee and the chairman / nominated director of each region serves on the Board as a director / trustee.

London Olympics 2012 - Advertising and Trading

Along with the sporting and cultural impact of the London Olympics, businesses will also be affected - not only with a much anticipated (or hoped for) boost to the businesses' takings but also in a number of ways how the business can trade and advertise (even possibly on their own land) if proximate to an Olympic venue.
Shopkeeper fined for illegal alcohol sales

A shopkeeper who sold alcohol without a licence has been prosecuted by Hammersmith & Fulham Council resulting in fines totaling £4,000.00.
Home Office Consultation on Proposed Late Night Levy and Extensions to EMROs

A Home Office consultation launched yesterday is seeking views about two measures in the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 that will be implemented through regulations: Early Morning Restriction Orders (EMROs) and the late night levy.

The Institute of Licensing intends to respond to the consultation, and will be consulting members in order to gather views which will form the basis of the response.
Shaken and Slurred

As the countdown to Christmas commences, South Yorkshire Police with support from other
members of the South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership launch their ‘Shaken and Slurred’ Christmas campaign on 1 December 2011. This James Bond style campaign hopes to discourage irresponsible drinking and emphasizes key messages relating to safety and alcohol awareness during the festive period.
Designated drivers rewarded this Christmas

Designated drivers will be rewarded in more than 8,000 pubs and student union bars across the country as part of the THINK! Christmas drink drive campaign, launched today by Road Safety Minister Mike Penning.
