PACE Training Day at Basingstoke
Event Date: 16/Jul/2010
A one day event essential for all officers involved in investigating offences and the use of PACE. Jim Hunter from the institute of Licensing will guide you through the rules of evidence gathering, carrying out interviews under caution and other relevant matters related to investigating offences. The day will be interactive with the opportunity to practice the interviewing skills learned using the tape recording equipment.

In a key judgment for licensing practitioners today, Cranston J has held that it is open to a licensing authority to compel applicants for licences under the Licensing Act 2003 to answer its questions concerning the application, and defer consideration of the application until answers have been received
