TfL consult on Integrated Impact Assessment for proposals to improving safety in PHVs 6th June 2018

Transport for London are consulting on an Integrated Impact Assessment on its proposals relating to improving safety in PHVs in the capital.

On Monday 26 March TfL launched a consultation on potential changes to private hire licensing requirements in London. These proposals included measures relating to driving standards, vehicle signage, PHV insurance requirements and background character checks for PHV driver licence applicants.

TfL commissioned an Independent Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA) to look at the equality, health, environmental and business and economic impacts of the proposals relating to driving standards and vehicle signage. It is now seeking views on the IIA report including whether respondents agree or disagree with the impacts identified or feel that there are other impacts which have not been identified.

In light of the further consultation on the IIA, the consultation has been extended to 25 June 2018.
