Due to the continued popularity of previous courses we are running the Professional Licensing Practitioners Qualification (PLPQ) training course again in London in September 2019. The course will commence on Tuesday 24 September and finish on Friday 27 September 2019.
This non-residential course will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Battersea. Should you wish to stay at the venue please contact the hotel directly: Reservations department or + 44 (0) 871 222 0025. You may wish to consider more competitive options shall as nearby Premier Inns/Holiday Inn Express/Travelodge.

The training will focus on the practical issues that a licensing practitioner will need to be aware of when dealing with the licensing areas covered during the course (See Agenda for full details). The Agenda includes London specific information in areas such as Street Trading.

The training is ideally suited to someone new to licensing, or an experienced licensing practitioner who would like to increase or refresh their knowledge and expertise in any of the subject matters.

The training would be suitable for Council and Police Licensing Officers, Councillors, Lawyers who advise licensing committees, managers of a licensing function and committee services officers.

Each of the four days will finish with an exam to give delegates the option of sitting an exam in the subjects related to their current area of work or the delegates can just attend the training on each of the four days.

Delegates sitting and passing the exam on all four days will be awarded the IoL accredited Professional Licensing Practitioners Qualification. In addition those delegates sitting and passing the exams on less than all four days will be awarded the Licensing Practitioners Qualification related to the specific subject area(s) passed.

Please use the fee calculator for course fees. If all four days are booked complimentary membership until end March 2020 is awarded to non-members.
The Institute of Licensing accredits this course at 4.5 hours daily CPD. Course Ref:PLPQ8189.

Quote from previous course attendee:-

"I attended the PLPQ course in Birmingham and really enjoyed the experience. The training material was very detailed and the delivery from the trainers was at a pace that was easy to follow for relative beginners to the role like me. It was a bonus that all trainers were very approachable and happy to answer any queries in breaks. It gives an excellent opportunity to get your head around the finer details of Licensing work away from the constant interruptions in the workplace. Highly recommended.” Alan Weldon, Senior EHO (Licensing), Sedgemoor District Council.
"The structure and content of the PLPQ course was excellent. The subject matter was very relevant and delivered at a pace which was taxing, but very manageable. All the speakers were very knowledgeable and addressed all matters clearly and concisely." Chris Burnett, Principal Licensing Officer, Rotherham MBC.
