Licensing Enforcement Officer – Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Closing Date: 13/09/2021

If you are a highly motivated and adaptable licensing professional, we need you to join our small, professional, and multi-functional Licensing team.

You will ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements carrying out visits, inspections, and examinations of premises and / or vehicles.  You will undertake appropriate enforcement action including formal legal proceedings for any area of licensing the team is responsible to include; taxi & Private Hire vehicles and drivers, The Licencing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005.

You will have significant experience of working in a relevant enforcement environment, ideally with a relevant licensing qualification.  With experience of both informal and formal investigatory procedures including RIPA and PACE, you will have a working knowledge of licensing law relating to hackney carriage & private hire,  Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, caravans, sex establishments, street collections, house-to-house collections, and animal welfare licensing.  You must have a current valid driving licence with access to a car to travel around the Borough.
