Grade E (SCP 18-22), £25,419-£27,514 per annum pro rata.

Permanent part time post (18.5 hours per week, (one week ) Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and ( second week) Thursday, Friday.

Charnwood Borough Council is seeking to recruit an experienced, committed, and enthusiastic individual for the position of Licensing Enforcement Officer to form an integral part of a small and dedicated licensing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the enforcement of the statutory licensing duties held by the Council, including Liquor, Gambling, Hackney and Private Hire Licences (taxis) and other associated regulatory duties.    

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in licensing or a regulatory environment. A working knowledge of computer systems, i.e., Microsoft Office and Excel is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required at all levels, along with good organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure and on their own initiative.

Although the hours of the post are primarily at the end of the working week, the role will require some flexibility, including some out of hours and weekend working. The successful candidate must be committed to a level of flexibility and must be prepared to work as a member of a small, but busy team. The post is a mixture of administration and inspections within the Local Authority Area.

The post is hybrid (with the ability to work at home and within the office) based within the Licensing Team of Regulatory Services Department, Charnwood Council Southfield Road, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 2TX.
