Job description

 We are looking for an experienced and dedicated licensing professional to join our busy team of licensing officers here at the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. 

This role will involve the enforcement of the full range of licensing legislation including the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and legislation regulating the licensing of hackney carriage and private hire drivers, vehicles and operators.

You will be involved in the licensing processes, carry out inspections and operations to enforce the legislation as required, including outside of normal office hours, and participate in joint operations with other service units of the Council and external partners such as Thames Valley Police.

You will also investigate alleged offences under the legislation up to and including preparing prosecution reports and giving evidence in court and prepare and present reports at licensing hearings.

You will need excellent communication skills, be a team player able to work with a range of partners and be able to plan and carry out your own workload.
