Are you an experienced Licensing Professional looking for your next step?

We are excited to be recruiting for a Licensing Team Leader here at South Holland District Council on a 1 year fixed term contract! You will join part of the new and exciting South East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership, giving lots of opportunities for shared learning, development and team working.

The licensing service sits within the wider Public Protection Team at South Holland District Council, dealing with the administration, monitoring, and enforcement of a variety of licences including alcohol, taxis, gambling, street trading and animal welfare, as well as overseeing local land charges This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to have day to day responsibility for the running of a local authority Licensing team!

 

Typical duties are:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Licensing and Land Charges operations
  • To carry out the statutory duties under licensing and work closely with environmental health colleagues  
  • Prepare reports, carry out presentations and attend Committees as required
  • Oversee the maintenance of the land charges register and the processing of searches

 

What we need from you:

  • Previous experience of working in a licensing environment
  • Licensing or Environmental Health qualification or substantial equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to be assertive, negotiate and delegate
  • Highly organised with good time management and recognition of meeting deadlines
