About the Role

As Team Manager you will take responsibility for the work and development of the Trading Standards and Licensing Teams – ensuring that the service is delivered efficiently and effectively – taking the opportunity to improve and innovate wherever possible.

As a key manager within regulatory services you will be required to contribute to the wider work of the service, combining initiatives with other teams and helping meet broader corporate objectives.
You will have a strong background in licensing, trading standards and public regulation but will need to keep up to date with the relevant regulations, policy and legislation relating to these areas.

You should have at least seven years within a Regulatory Services area and at least three years’ experience of managing cross disciplinary teams within Regulatory Services.

You will possess the Diploma in Trading Standards or equivalent and will be designated to the statutory position of Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures.
