Job Summary:

You will be responsible for supervising the frontline service, including the taxi licensing office and providing technical and general advice on taxi licensing and the Council’s private hire and taxi licensing policy.  Other duties include processing and responding to complaints and information requests, providing performance information, training and supervising staff, and ensuring that licensing applications are processed in line with Council procedures.  The successful officer will also be required to write reports and present reports at committee together with any actions resulting from committee decisions and which may include attendance at court.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience of working within a licensing environment
  • Supervisory experience and experience of working in an income environment
  • Knowledge of Licensing Legislation and Regulations, including PACE and Road Traffic Act

This position is office based at Waterfall Lane, Cradley Heath.

Our working hours are 7.45 am to 12 noon and 1.00 pm to 4.15 pm Monday to Thursday and until 3.45 pm on a Friday
