COVID-10 Licensing Issues - IoL Protocol updated to include remote hearings Annex and more info on fees and the levy

The IoL's 'Protocol for Licence Applications & Hearings under the Licensing Act 2003 During the COVID-19 Pandemic' has been updated to include a new Annex on remote hearings and to update the section on fees and the late night levy (paragraphs 61-66).
The new Annex entitled 'Mechanics and Procedures of Remote Video Hearings' is designed to assist licensing authorities and participants in remote video-hearings regardless of the platform used. It covers:
- Pre-hearing preparations (by all parties) including the provision of agenda papers and practice steps to ensure that participation during the hearing runs smoothly;
- Hosting, managing and participating during the hearing;
- Deliberation of Committe Members; and
- Determination and Rights of Appeal.
