COVID-19 Licensing issues: MOTs for cars, vans and motorcycles due from 30 March 2020 to be extended Published Date: 25/03/2020

Government guidance published today (25 March) is that from 30 March 2020, MOT due dates for cars, motorcycles and light vans will be extended by 6 months. This is being done to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Vehicles will be given the 6 month extension automatically so there is no need for any action by vehicle owners, other than to maintain their vehicles in a safe condition.
